Book Release Event Video and Notes
The book release event went well. The size of the audience was just about exactly what I expected, and almost everyone bought the book. I've posted the video here, as shot by my trusty no-frills videocam, which I clamped onto a bookshelf in the store.

Awash in a Sea of Stories
In putting together this website, I've been creating Context and Aftermath information for the Voices page for each story. In doing so, I'm reading more of the material surrounding the texts that I used directly for the stories. And I'm finding a lot more Biblical stories and details that I had remembered, or possibly even noticed before.
First Post!
Hi, everyone. This is Joe, blogging from high atop... er, deep underneath... um... on the relatively flat earth of Ohio.
As of tomorrow, we'll be exactly one month away from the launch of The Book of Voices. While it's my fourth book to be published, I'm more excited and jittery about it than about any of the previous ones. It's the culmination of a project that has taken four years so far, and which most definitely will not end with the release.
